New Blog items "Review Me"

Thanks to my RSS feeds, I read a review for a new-ish “cash for blogs” idea. This idea has advertisers paying bloggers to review items for them.

I’ve written some movie reviews on this site, as well as promoted books and some music. I figure since I am doing it anyway, I might as well get paid to do it.

After all, all a review requires is the ability to write, and an opinion. I definitely have the opinion part down. I’m sure there are people who will tell you that I’m the most opinionated person they know.

The signup process over at “Review Me” was straight forward and simple. Once you have an account, you attempt to sign your blog up. Since I have have three URL’s pointing at this blog, it took a few minutes to find out which one was the best one to use.

Two of my URL’s were outright rejected as not getting enough traffic or being too small.

Finally, the URL that is the oldest, and has the best technorati rank was accepted.

It appears I’m a small fish in a big pond. They promise you between twenty and two-hundred dollars per review… and I’m in the twenty dollar range.

Can’t complain though, it’s twenty more than I had before I started writing.

It appears you will be paid at the first of the month, via either Check or PayPal. PayPal makes life easy, they can just drop it electronically to your account. Very similar to direct deposit.

Well, we shall see what kind of reviews I get thrown, if any. It should be interesting to see what comes of it.

I’m willing to get paid to review things, however I am not willing to compromise my principles. If I think something sucks, believe me, you’ll hear me say, it sucks. It’s it’s the best thing since sliced bread, I’ll let you know that too.
