"Carbon Offsets" Hollyweird VooDoo
February 28, 2007 | 2 Comments
So if I understand this right, Carbon Offsets are simply things like planting trees, helping to build clean energy plants, and paying some 3rd world guy to not release carbon dioxide to make up for my Carbon gluttony…
Sounds like Hollyweird logic to me.
The carbon offsets, on the other hand, sound like a very reasonable plan. [...]

Due Process, Fair Trials, Etc…
February 28, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Come, come to Pakistan, where a westerner can get all the luxuries of home. Like a fair trial, due process, and the belief that your innocent before being beheaded.
Suspected Islamic militants captured and beheaded a schoolteacher in Pakistan’s wild Afghan border area for allegedly spying for the United States, an official said Wednesday.
The man’s [...]

So they either lied, or are really really bad at this bombing thing.
KABUL, Afghanistan, Feb. 27 — A suicide bomber blew himself up on Tuesday morning outside the gate of the United States air base near Kabul where Vice President Dick Cheney was staying, killing at least 23 people. The vice president heard the blast [...]

Obama’s Father And Romney’s Great-Great Grandfather…
February 28, 2007 | 1 Comment
While the media spins on Romney, they overlook Obama’s father… who was a drunk, a bigot, and a bigamist. However, since Obama is a liberal, his family history is given a free-pass, unlike Mormon Mitt.
Barack Obama Snr started life with the advantage of being able to read and write, but he also felt a profound [...]

The Free Jack Idema Blogburst
February 28, 2007 | 2 Comments
It’s now been four weeks since anyone in the outside world heard from illegally-imprisoned US Special Forces soldier Jack Idema. Since it seems likely (though by no means certain) that if Jack had been killed or seriously injured in clashes with Karzai’s troops, news of this would have been released by now, those of us [...]

Some people just shouldn’t be allowed to have a bad day…
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks suffered their worst one-day slide in more than eight months on Tuesday, driving the blue-chip Dow average down almost 200 points, after China’s main equity index plunged on concerns that share valuations there had become overextended.
That sent shivers of fear [...]

Outlook On Military Response to New Threats Not Good
February 27, 2007 | 1 Comment
Yet another misleading headline: “Gen. Pace: Military capability eroding”.
This has nothing to do with our current military responses to Afghanistan, and Iraq. It has to do with our ability to deal with new threats. Our ability to respond to new threats may not be good, however our current engagements seem to be covered.
In my opinion, [...]

Feminism & Polygamy
February 27, 2007 | 4 Comments
I am NOT in favor of legitimizing bigamy, or polygamy, or any other kind of marriage other than between one man, and one woman. However, having said that…
So one of Mitt Romney’s Great-Great-Grandfathers had a dozen wives… so what? The current LDS church does not practice or endorse the practice of Polygamy.
I’m thinking that [...]

Jumping On The Bandwagon

Well, since everyone and their dog seems to be jumping on the “give Britney advice” bandwagon… I might as well put in my two cents.
The way I see it, being miserable is the best time to turn to the muse and get to being creative. Many artists of fame have done their best work when they [...]

More Reasons The US Won’t Be Hitting Iran
February 23, 2007 | 2 Comments
I keep saying it, but there are people on the left who aren’t listening… not that I expect them too.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Any U.S. attack against Iran could involve thousands of sorties and missile launches lasting weeks, but it still would not eliminate the country’s nuclear program, U.S. military officials and analysts say.
A strike — [...]

10 Signs Your A Moral Idiot
February 23, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Rain usually starts out her day by reading “The Rott“. This morning she found a great link to the following post entitled “10 Signs that You’re a Moral Idiot”…
Given all of this topsy turvey-ness it seems to me that we need some sort of test, a guide, in order to establish whether your moral compass [...]

U.S. Urged to Reconsider Venezuela Ban
February 22, 2007 | 3 Comments
Time to wrap your head in duct tape. This woman is so mind-numbingly stupid it hurts.
CARACAS, Venezuela - A U.S. congresswoman called on the Bush administration Wednesday to reconsider its ban on selling parts for U.S.-made F-16 fighter jets to Venezuela, urging improved ties between the two nations.
U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, a Texas Democrat, [...]

Illegals With Credit Cards

Since my good friend, and fellow blogger SeeJaneMom is talking about the Bank of America giving Credit Cards to Illegal aliens, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon.
Jane Says:
Bank of America announced this week, that in addition to passing out credit cards to anyone with a pulse and a Mexican accent, The “Private Bank” [...]
