Iran Marriage: Bringing It Home

In order to illustrate the earlier post about Iran’s Legal Age For Marriage being nine years old…

Jessica Marie Lunsford, was 9-years-old when she was raped, and killed by John Evander Coruey (born September 19 , 1958 ).

Had the two of them lived in Iran, Coruey would have been able to have been legally married to Jessica.

In Iran the legal age for marriage is nine for girls, fourteen for boys. The law has occasionally been exploited by pedophiles, who marry poor young girls from the provinces, use and then abandon them.

I don’t know how anyone could not be outraged at this!
