Newt Had An Affair… And?

I can’t say that I’m surpised, we’re electing politicians, not Jesus Christ himself.

Who ever would have expected this from Newt Gingrich? It turns out that he was having an extramarital affair even as he led the righteous crusade against Bill Clinton over Monica Lewinsky.

Yeah, you know that whole thing about Newt giving his first wife her walking papers when she was in the hospital with cancer? That almost looks ethical compared to this monumental feat of hypocrisy. I still have dreams that the Republicans will nominate Gingrich, but it’s almost certainly too good to be true.

The Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky thing would of been no big deal (to me) if the Clenis hadn’t stood, on camera, waving his finger, faking moral indignation, and LYING to his wife and the American people on national television.

In this case, Newt didn’t lie. So I don’t see it as being hypocritical.

I’m more interested on voting based on the issues, than on his personal life. Does it matter, yes… but not nearly as much as being wrong on the issues.

Will someone please explain to me why I’m seeing headlines like “Gingrich In Affair During Clinton Probe,” as if it’s a revelation? Newt Gingrich reportedly told James Dobson of Focus on the Family that he’d had an affair during Bill “Slick Willie” Clinton’s impeachment proceedings. But it isn’t news. It’s practically common knowledge.

      Family values don’t matter. Lying does matter. Thank God they got Libby.

      [Sniper One: Funny, that's not what I said at all... Did you even read the post? Family values do matter, but I think the issues matter more. I would rather vote for Newt knowing that he will secure the border and be tough on terror, than vote for someone who is a perfect husband but will not do a damn thing to keep America safe.]
