Hopefully it’s dead like disco, never to rear it’s ugly head again (at least in it’s current form).

The bill died last night 45-50 vote.

Michelle Malkin hits the nail on the head…

(Malkin) As annoying as Reid’s refrain was, he is right: This was the president’s bill. This was the monstrous sham that President Bush tried to ram through the Senate with his pal Teddy Kennedy–subverting the committee process, attempting to cram it in before the Memorial Day holiday, rushing to limit debate, and then complaining about delays. This was the bill President Bush sent conservative-bashing bureaucrats like DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff to peddle on CNN. This was the bill President Bush championed while deriding critics as fearful bigots and running away from building the fence he promised to build.

If the White House thinks conservatives are going to forget whose bill this was and the tactics the White House used in its failed attempt to ram it through Congress, they better think again.

Now that this idiotic bill is gone, we the people can pressure our government to create, and pass, a bill that makes sense.

  1. Build The Fence (Mexico and Canada)
  2. More INS, immigration processors, and Border Agents
  3. No Federal Funds for “Sanctuary Cities
  4. National ID (so employers can tell who is illegal and who is not)
  5. Harsher Punishments for Employers who hire illegals.
  6. Increase the number of legal immigrants, and work faster to allow them in.

If you take away the ability for the illegals to make money in this country, then the majority of them will leave. Those that are left aren’t here for jobs or to buy into the American dream.

If you want to be a US Citizen, then get in line with everyone else.

It is about time somebody makes sence on the imagration matter. There would be no need for a fence if we had REAL enforvcement of all the laws on the books as is. If there was no money for the illegals they would not bother to come over hear in the first place. Some additions to the above bill:
    7. Treatment and Deportation of any illegal useing the medical system. Emergancy treatments only.
    8. No use of schools K-12 or College for any illegal resident.
    9. Children born of Illegals are deported with parents.

Yes these rules are very harsh. But no more harsh than the rules Mexico ALREADY has in place. If you think it is bad for an illegal hear in the US see what happens to you if you get arrested in Mexico. God Bless Amreica land that I love.

The one thing everyone seems to forget in this immigration issue is sponsors. My wife and her daughter came her from China on a fiancee vise. One of the requirements for her to remain her was that I had to sponsor her which effectively means that for the next three years I am financially responsible for them.

Any talk of increased immigration or dealing with the illegals that are already here should include sponsors for them that would equal or surpass the current requirements. No sponsor, no visa.
