Or at least he might as well have. Actually, that would have been less offensive than what he did say

You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton Administration, and the Bush Administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

That’s right, all of us silly rednecks are just mad because our jobs our gone. We’re all just gun worshipping, racist bastards. It has nothing to do with enforcing the laws. It has nothing to do with our rights as Americans.

Frankly, I could care less what color people are. It’s not a matter of black, white, red, or green, it’s a matter of intelligence. I don’t care what color you are, as long as you can intelligently discuss or argue a point. No race has a monopoly on stupidity.

I can’t think of a better way to offend multiple groups of people at once than how Obama just did. He’s eloquent in his offensiveness.
