As many have said in the past year, I didn’t leave the Republican party, the party left me. I confess, that said statement very much sums up how I feel about the current situation of the Presidential Election.

As a self-respecting conservative voter, I cannot vote for either Hillary or Obama. Neither of which match up with the policy points I want to see accomplished.

However McCain, who I absolutely loath, doesn’t match up with my political agenda either.

I have yet to find a third party canidate that matches up to my agenda as well. The majority of the third party canidates are either Wack-Jobs like Ron Paul or are far to far to the left for me.

I am left without a party, and holding my nose at the ballot box. I am a conservative in search of a party.

I guess you could say that I am in search of a  pro-solutions party. Someone who is intereseted in actually taking the problems we have, finding a solution and running with it, instead of just kicking the poltical football back and forth across  the field in hopes of gaining votes.

How long have we been kicking around the illegal immigration football? How long have we been kicking the energy independance football around? Is there any solution in sight?

I am sick to death of lifetime politicans who do nothing but posture and speak; while doing nothing for the American people. I am sick to death of politicians who are more interested in other nation’s citizens rights than they are about the rights to freedom and happiness here at home. I am sick and tired of spineless weasle polticians who change their mind at the drop of an opinion poll.

These are serious times, and we need serious answers to serious problems. We need serious people in Congress and the White House, and all I see are fools and yes-men lining up for the jobs.

Give the libertarian party a look. They’re sort of like the republican party of old but need all the support they can get. I’m converting to their party after the elections due to Clinton and Obama’s views on gun ownership. Can’t let either one of them in. I’d recommend joining the NRA too, if you believe in the constitution.
