This And That… The Week In Review…

Well, it’s been a rather odd week over here in the sandbox. To start things off, last week Friday, I got a note from an old co-worker from Packard Bell, via classmates. It’s someone who I haven’t spoken in to in at least ten years. I’m not complaining mind you, I enjoy having old colleagues contact me.
 
It’s been kind of a bizarre re-introduction, she was one of those people who I viewed as “having it made”. Yet now, more than a decade later, it appears she is about to be, or is already in the middle of what could turn out to be an ugly divorce. I was stunned to find that out. I always thought that she and her husband were the perfect couple.

Through her, the wife and I may have solved the puzzle that is our middle child. As it turns out my friend has an autistic child; and is more familiar with other kinds of odd “syndromes” that sometimes happen. After discussing “Bug” with her, she sent me some information about a syndrome that fit. “Bug” had a doctor appointment yesterday, and the wife was going to discuss having him tested. I hope to hear from my wife later today about that. So perhaps there will be a new topic of discussion, perhaps not.

In other news, several of my military co-workers found out that I am trying to get back into writing, and are offering encouragement. One in particular, “Capt. Li” has given me a deadline of the end of the deployment to come up with/and write something.

It feels rather intimidating to me to have to write something under a deadline. But, perhaps that is the encouragement I need. I hate being late.

I don’t know how much time there is going to be to write, as there is a lot going on over here. All of which I am not comfortable discussing.

Oh! and I got a note from Chelsea Summers last night. What a thrill! She noticed my post :) That made my week.
